Le guide.
La questione "guide" mi ha sollevato un problema prima della partenza.
La domanda riguardava il documentarsi o meno e seguire le indicazioni di una guida oppure no.
La mia personalissima decisione è stata di documentarmi poco, anzi pochissimo sul percorso, e di non acquistare nessuna guida, che è stata degnamente sostituita da due fogli dei diagrammi altimetrici del Camino e un elenco di località (4 fogli)che si trova su Wikipedia, mentre vale la pena approfondire con la massima cura le argomentazioni etico-spiritual-religioso che possono indurre un bipede umano a intraprendere la via.
A Camino fatto, credo che la scelta sia stata saggia, le guide sarebbe state un inutile peso, mentre la fortificazione dello spirito ha pagato il suo debito nel momento della grande crisi..
Il Camino frances è segnato in modo piuttosto accurato in tutto il percorso, basta quindi seguire le frecce gialle e i mucchietti di sassi. Il percorso è facilmente individuabile e non serve a niente sapere quale sarà il nome del paese successivo, tanto lo vedremo quando ci arriveremo.
Non programmare le tappe porta grande libertà e pace interiore. Quando saremo assetati berremo (è opportuno rabboccare le borracce ogni qual volta si incontra una fonte), quando saremo affamati mangeremo (posti di ristoro esistono a intervalli più o meno regolari e comunque, nella peggiore delle ipotesi, a distanza copribile in 3 ore, niente che possa farci morire di fame) e quando saremo stanchi cercheremo un rifugio per la notte. La corsa ai rifugi "migliori", oltre che stucchevole retaggio della vacanza nel villaggio esotico, tradisce il senso profondo del Camino, i cui "Albergues" sono, per l'appunto rifugi, dove non si deve trascorrere una vacanza piacevole, ma dove si dorme e si riposa per affrontare la tappa successiva.
Ovviamente, al di là di questa "savonarolata", sostare in un "Albergue" confortevole è piacevole per chiunque, me compreso, seppure non sia mai stato un "must".
